CooperVision Further Expands Parameters for MyDay® toric Contact Lenses in the U.S.
CooperVision — a global leader in toric contact lenses — has expanded prescription options for MyDay® toric. Starting on July 1, in the U.S., MyDay® lenses will be available in around-the-clock axes1 and 0.25D steps in plus powers. With these additional parameters, MyDay® toric now has the most prescription options of any 1-day lens2, and covers 95% of Biofinity® toric prescriptions — providing eye care professionals the opportunity to fit an even greater number of patients with astigmatism in a premium silicone hydrogel 1-day lens.

CooperVision’s MyDay® toric lenses combine the proven optic design features of Biofinity® toric with the premium silicone hydrogel 1-day material of MyDay®. This revered toric technology inherent in Biofinity® toric and MyDay® toric is called Optimized Toric Lens Geometry™, and it provides uniform horizontal ISO thickness, an optimized ballast band design, a large toric optic zone, and a smooth, continuous surface to make it an easy-to-fit, stable toric lens. In addition, the MyDay® family of lenses is made with Aquaform® Technology, which locks moisture into the lens and keeps it soft for a comfortable lens-wearing experience. This natural wettability can help wearers’ eyes feel less dry without coatings or surface treatments. And while the lens provides optimal comfort, it remains strong enough to ensure exceptional handling.4,5† MyDay® toric’s built-in UV blocker filters 85% of UVA and 96% of UVB rays*.
Eye care professionals will be able to fit a greater number of 1-day toric patients in MyDay® toric with the addition of the following prescription options (in bold):
