Chief Academic Officers Meet Virtually in June
The ASCO Chief Academic Officers conducted a series of virtual meetings on June 18-25, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a theme of virtual teaching. The Chief Academic Officers heard presentations on Virtual Clinical Teaching from Ms. Heather Litwhiler MSN, RN, the Program Instructor of Nursing at the University of the Incarnate Word, and Virtual Didactic Teaching from Drs. Raymond Chu (SCCOMBKU) and Daniel Taylor (MCO).
These sessions will be made available to all faculty in the coming months on ASCO’s new video channel. In addition, Dr. Lewis Reich (SCO) provided an update on the quantity and quality of optometry’s applicant pool. Roundtable discussions took place on COVID-19 with lessons learned being the biggest topic.
