Don’t let water damage sideline your construction project
Northbridge Insurance®
Severe water damage can cause several challenges for construction companies. Related project delays can translate into increased costs in labour and materials and can also drive up financing costs from lenders to finish the project, heavily impacting developers’ bottom lines. The reality is that water damage during the construction stage of a building is one of the largest risks to completing a project on time and on budget.

Martha George has grown the association into one that is highly regarded across the country.

“It has been my honour to serve the members of the GVCA and industry stakeholders for the last 16 years. The most important person in the Association is the member. I have always tried to put members’ interests first and advocated on their behalf”, says George.

CMiC: Your Hub for Project Management & Collaboration
Connecting the various parts of a construction project is a complex but essential part of operating as a contractor today.
With subcontractors, architects, clients and numerous internal teams all contributing to a project at various phase of the project and information accumulating over the course of the job, the resulting communications may be too numerous and diverse to be easily tracked through outdated legacy technology.

PCL recently completed our first full-scale permanent deployment of Eddy Solutions’ holistic water monitoring and leak detection system at Edenshaw’s TANU Condos in Port Credit, Ontario, as part of an ongoing strategy for water control and leak protection. The innovation aligned all stakeholders including the mechanical and electrical design consultants from construction through to operations, protecting the property from the builder’s risk period to turnover and beyond.
