Look, I know that the last almost two years have felt surreal and like we have been characters in that movie featuring Bill Murray called “Groundhog Day,” but we all need to keep our focus on moving forward and getting our entire society at a vaccination rate that finally tips the scales of COVID-19. I’m not here to preach to anyone about why it is important to get vaccinated, and I would assume that by now, the scientific evidence that has been presented far outweighed the individual conspiracy theories and rhetoric. And I, for one, would rather base my decision to protect myself, my friends and my family, on the professional recommendations of an epidemiologist rather than the rantings of some basement dwelling podcaster, but I have always preferred evidence to hearsay.

Looking back on 2021, there have been some great wins for the LOC that, in our opinion, have greatly outweighed the challenges. As I have mentioned in earlier newsletters, 2021 has proven to be a year of solid growth for the LOC, beginning with our registration as a not-for-profit association, and ending with tremendous membership growth. The LOC team is pleased to continue working with our membership and further developing the LOC brand. You have our full commitment that we will continue to Champion Safety across construction in 2022.

The LOC has experienced a year of growth and development, and we would like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest Champions at Cromco Construction Services Ltd.  Welcome to the League!

Are you a Safety Champion? Do you know a Safety Champion? Have you considered joining the League of Champions? If you have any questions or want to learn more about the League of Champions, just let us know, we are here to help.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Judith Reda.

Thank you all for a wonderful 2021, and we look forward to greater successes in 2022.

Stay safe.
