Receiving feedback doesn't necessarily have to be terrifying. Feedback is just information, and you have the power to decide what you do with it.

 

For leaders, the goal should be to normalize the idea that feedback is ongoing, not just for annual reviews.

Research conducted by Christopher Littlefield on praise and recognition shows that while 88 percent of respondents associate feeling valued with recognition, nearly 70 percent also "associate embarrassment or discomfort with the process of being recognized."
