Clean Water Services Inspections: Amalgam Waste
Print this Article | Send to Colleague
You may receive a call or email from Clean Water Services to set up an inspection of your dental facility’s amalgam waste separators. Based on new federal rules, some existing and new sources must submit a one-time compliance report to their pretreatment Control Authority (Clean Water Services). This report will be provided by Clean Water Services at the time of inspection. While Oregon has had existing statutory requirements about amalgam waste disposal for quite some time, the new certification/reporting requirement is new based on recent federal rule changes.
