Reflections

Well, I got the call; “Your services are no longer needed as a result of the COVID-19 virus and the effect it has had on our industry.” After 13 years with the Pocono Mountains CVB, 10 years with the Bucks County CVB and another 25 years in hospitality, how could this be? My services were no longer needed. I never felt so hurt and betrayed by the industry that had encompassed my entire adult life. Now what? Should I stay and fight? Should I go back out in the work force at entry level positions?

Then one day, I received a call from a colleague going through a similar circumstance.

Ten months ago, associations were pivoting to find the best virtual event management platform to fit their needs. Entering 2021 organizations are finding that they will once again be going virtual, or that they will be conducting a hybrid event. The larger question is: how can you find the company that’s the right fit for your organization? Enter NYSAE. Over the summer we held two technology showcases, and we’re happy to announce they’re making their return starting with our program on February 19, from 11 AM – 12:30 PM. We’re bringing together four technology companies from all walks of life to produce a 10-15 minute demo for attendees, showcasing all of the ins and outs of their product.
