Meet NY 2021 Recap by the Numbers

For many, Meet NY 2020 was the last in-person event before the pandemic and last Thursday’s Meet NY 2021 represented the return to in-person events. Hospitality partners and planners came from all over to the newly renovated Marriott Marquis for an afternoon and evening filled with education, entertainment and networking. What does that look like? Let’s get into the numbers: 

• 170 plus planners and executives, across associations, nonprofits and corporations. 
• 115 industry partners from 45 destination, hotel and suppliers from across the country. 
• 6 industry experts speaking to how the meetings and events industry will evolve for 2022 and beyond on our educational panel. 
• 276 tickets for the Broadway show “Come From Away,” continuing NYSAE’s support of New York City and the Broadway community. 
• 17 CVBs taking part in the Northeast CVB Reps Opening Reception 
• 1535 Broadway, home to the beautiful Marriott Marquis and their staff, who ensured the event was safe from start to finish by checking vaccinations and requiring masks from attendees. 
• 2, March, 2022, the date of Meet NY 2022 at the Marriott Marquis. Put a placeholder in your calendars now, information on how to register will be shared in the coming weeks. 

And the last and more important number, the number 1, because there’s only one show like Meet NY around. This year’s event saw its fair share of challenges, but the rewards far outweighed them. 

We’d like to thank everyone who helped come together to make this event happen and to make it a signature moment for NYSAE and the industry. For those who weren’t able to join us for this year’s event we look forward to seeing you at the Marquis on Wednesday, March 2 for Meet NY 2022.
