On August 20th we celebrated NYSAE’s Synergy Awards for the first time in a virtual format. As our NYSAE Chair, Joanne Barry, said in her remarks, “An important aspect to the growth and development of any profession is the recognition of the outstanding accomplishments of individuals and organizations within it, and the encouragement of those who seek to achieve excellence.”

The response from the community has been outstanding, and we have heard from so many of you who were able to gain insights into a virtual awards program, and are interested in using See3 and Gather Voices to manage your awards show. We are working with our volunteers to put together a “Behind the Scenes of the Synergy Awards” webinar to take place in early September. This session will offer the ins and outs of producing an awards show, and what challenges the team faced.

Congratulations once again to this year’s Synergy Awards honorees, and thank you to our dedicated volunteers of NYSAE Synergy Awards Committee, led by co-chairs Annette Homan and Terry Lawler. A special thank you to all of our sponsors and presenters, and our wonderful attendees who helped to make this event memorable. We look forward to seeing you next year in-person!
