What do NYSAE’s ExecConnect and Executive Women in Nonprofits (EWIN) Engagement Group have in common? Their formats are similar - facilitated peer groups, CEOs and other C-suite executives share their unique challenges and solutions. September’s EWIN Engagement Group topic, facilitated by long-time member Linda Ferm, CAE, was “What keeps you up at night?” Every seat around the long conference table was taken by one powerful woman leader after another. Each woman openly shared their experiences including sneak peeks of their Board meeting’s behind the scenes, what they are doing about diversity and inclusion and how they focus on revenue generation and succession planning. NYSAE’s ExecConnect Roundtable, hosted by Board Member Bobby Blumenfeld, CAE, was also a valuable networking and informational experience. Featured guest Cristyne Nicholas, CEO of Nicholas & Lence Communications, led the group through discussions surrounding media cultivation in New York City, how our organizations can improve our relationships with the press and how to gain enough attention to be called upon as the experts in our community. Are you a senior leader of a member based or donor based organization? If you answered yes, you need to be at the table connecting with others who do what you do gathering insights from those who have tackled similar situations. Women leaders – we’ll see you Friday, December 6th for “Making Room for Diversity.”
