Over the past weeks, House and Senate committees considered and approved several pieces of legislation important to the ready mixed concrete industry

The Stop the Timber Innovation Act (TIA) Coalition, headed by NRMCA, continues to meet with members of the Senate Agriculture Committee to communicate our opposition to including the TIA in the 2018 farm bill.

Facilities with between 20 and 249 employees will need to electronically report to OSHA on Form 300A their summary of injuries and illnesses from 2017 no later than Sunday, July 1.

The NRMCA’s Annual Safety Award acknowledges the significant contribution that safety work practices gives to the growth and success of individual companies and the ready mixed concrete industry as a whole. The NRMCA Annual Safety Award is presented to an individual or company whose actions represent the very highest in the advancement of safety in the ready mixed concrete industry. The award program is generously sponsored by the Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau (TMMB).

NRMCA’s Commitment to Environmental Excellence Awards competition offers producers national recognition for outstanding contributions to protecting the environment and maintaining sound management practice in their operations.

This year’s NRMCA National Mixer Driver Championship will take place on Saturday, September 29, during NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks being held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD. The registration form for drivers looking to participate in NRMCA’s National Mixer Driver Championship 2018 is now available; please note that the registration form and payment for entering drivers into the championship are both due Wednesday, August 1.

This year’s Mixer Driver Championship brings an even more enhanced sponsorship program.
