The estimated ready mixed concrete produced in August is 35.1 million cubic yards, 4.3% lower than that in August 2024. The estimated production in the U.S. through August is 245 million cubic yards, approximately 3.4% lower than that during the same period in 2024. Ready mixed concrete production is estimated from cement shipments reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. More detail is available here for NRMCA members under “Production Statistics.
A new research brief by the MIT CSHub titled Site-Specific Carbon Uptake Estimation of Crushed Concrete at End-of-Life by Gwyneth Margaux Tangog, Pranav Pradeep Kumar, Randolph Kirchain and Hessam AzariJafari presents a context-specific approach for modeling the carbon uptake of a concrete recycling operation. The results demonstrate how increasing stockpiling time, decreasing particle size and spreading the stockpile over a larger area can help to optimize carbon uptake. Therefore, stakeholders could increase the carbon credits they generate by adopting alternative practices.

Member companies of NRMCA may grant prior authorization to only one national trade association PAC per calendar year. However, granting prior authorization for CONCRETEPAC does not preclude employees of the member companies from contributing to local or state PACs, national member and ideological PACs or the company's own federal PAC. Granting prior authorization to CONCRETEPAC does not require you or your employees to contribute to CONCRETEPAC, it only allows NRMCA to inform you of upcoming events such as the Viva Las Vegas Dinner & Auction in March 
Promotion
 The Concrete Council and the Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association have developed a simple new full-depth parking lot brochure for use in promoting the specification of concrete as the default for new projects that include parking lots. The message is that specification of concrete as the default bid will often result in its selection as owners realize that the cost premium may be much less than they anticipated.
