The estimated ready mixed concrete produced in July is 36.7 million cubic yards, 7.1% higher than that in July 2024. The estimated production in the U.S. through July is 210 million cubic yards, approximately 3.3% lower than that during the same period in 2024. Ready mixed concrete production is estimated from cement shipments reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. More detail is available here for NRMCA members under Production Statistics.
Ready mix is evolving and we need to adapt together. NRMCA understands the challenges facing your executive and operations teams today: information overload, rising costs, and the pressure to adapt to technology and labor trends without a clear roadmap. Tackling these pivotal industry challenges in silos leads to hidden costs and missed opportunities. That's why the Business Advancement Committee is excited to launch Ready Mix Roundtables! These are small, exclusive in-person workshops (max 10 non-competing companies) designed for top executives and decision-makers to collectively discuss challenges and ideate actionable solutions. The focus is strictly educational, resulting in peer-vetted solutions you can implement immediately within your business.

NRMCA will participate in the conference, which is scheduled for May 14 - 16 at the Hilton Buffalo. NRMCA extends its appreciation to CSI Western New York President David Rood, Secretary Robert Rumpl, Treasurer Robert Kimmel, and Board and committee members Deborah Siener, Rob Fohl, Kevin O’Beirne, Brad Vaillancourt, William Ferguson, Jim Bourgeois and others for their leadership and hospitality during the event. NRMCA continues its commitment to advancing resilient, innovative and low-carbon construction solutions for specifiers, architects and the broader AEC community. For more information, contact Frank Mruk at fmruk@nrmca.org. The NRMCA State Association of the Year Award is presented to the association that's making significant progress for the industry in the areas of promotion, education, advocacy and/or research. The award is presented at NRMCA’s Annual Convention held in March 2026 in Las Vegas, NV. The winning state executive, as well as his/her elected official, are encouraged to attend and receive the award.
The next MIT CSHub webinar, From Designs to Decisions: Using MIT's Online Pavement LCA/LCCA Tool for Low-Carbon, Cost-Effective Choices, is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, at 11 a.m. Eastern time. Dr. Haoran Li will present an online tutorial on how transportation agencies and practitioners can use the MIT CSHub Streamlined Pavement LCA and LCCA Tool to quantify and evaluate the environmental and economic performance of pavement design and maintenance decisions in minutes rather than weeks.
