Recently, NRMCA Senior Director, Local Paving, Amanda Hult joined the Tennessee Concrete Association’s Alan Sparkman as he presented Reducing Concrete’s Carbon Footprint to a group of Vanderbilt University civil engineering students. Sparkman (seen here addressing students) provided valuable information to the students on material selection, EPD's and proper design, and engaged the students with questions on their perception of concrete as a sustainable building material.
NRMCA continues to discuss concrete buildings and pavements with students attending colleges and universities. If you have a contact within engineering or architecture schools at a local college or university, please reach out to your Local Paving or Build With Strength contact to discuss an opportunity.
