NRMCA Senior Director, Building Innovations, Frank Mruk was a featured speaker at BuiltWorlds' inaugural conference, titled Innovating Building Materials and Supply Chain Conference, held in Chicago on June 12. The conference featured sessions investigating new technologies and techniques helping to advance materials and refine movement of those materials from factories to jobsites. Mruk was a featured speaker and also participated in a panel titled FROM SOURCE TO SITE: Navigating Supply Chain and Procurement Challenges in AEC with co-speakers Michael Sachaj, Matthias Ruegge, Mruk, Ty Findlay and Scott Jenkins (seen here from left to right).
The Builtworks conference focuses on solutions that help advance offsite fabrication, lower labor burdens and the lifecycle costs of maintaining structures, and new technologies and techniques to help address a wide range of problems and opportunities. In addition to advances in the materials themselves, this conference examined how technologies are helping to refine the movement of materials from factories to jobsites in an industry notorious for late deliveries and incorrect or damaged materials in a fragmented and inefficient supply chain.
Build With Strength celebrates and supports innovative efficient supply chains, architects and specifiers of concrete. For more information, contact Frank Mruk at fmruk@nrmca.org.
