NRMCA Represents Ready Mix Industry at Great Lakes Cement Promotion Council Summit

Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge recently attended the Great Lakes Cement Promotion Council (GLCPC) 2025 Promotion Summit in Columbus, OH. The annual summit attracts representatives from the ready mixed concrete, concrete pavement, precast concrete, concrete block and concrete pipe industries from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Topics of discussion included The Future of Type 1L and Other Emerging Blended Cements, Current Landscape of Next-Generation and Reduced-Carbon Cement and Concrete, and The State of Supplementary Cementitious Materials. Additionally, presentations were given on Workforce Development: Strategies for All Ages and Stages and overviews of ACI 318-25 and the new ACI 319 and 320 codes. Afternoon roundtable discussions focused on promotion, membership engagement and advocacy.
