NRMCA joined forces with the American Concrete Pavement Association's (APWA) Colorado Wyoming Chapter in sponsoring a booth at the 5th Annual APWA Colorado Chapter Conference held on October 29-30 in Arvada, reports NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Don A. Clem, PE. The conference, which focused on the new age of public works, drew over 210 public works professionals from throughout Colorado. The program featured high-level presentations from transportation leaders, including executive level directors of Denver International Airport, the Colorado Department of Transportation and Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company.

The APWA Colorado Chapter is recognized as one of the strongest APWA chapters in the west. The booth was staffed by Clem, Angela Folkestad, PE, executive director, and Jamie Johnson, PE, paving engineer, ACPA CO/ WY. Additionally, Jamie Johnson gave a presentation titled “Colorado Concrete Roadways, a History, What We Have Learned, and What the Future Holds” at a breakout session, which was filled with attendees.
