NYSAFC's two-day leadership development program for current and aspiring company officers will be held in Erie (March 8-9), Fulton (January 12-13), and Monroe (February 16-17) Counties. Lecturers include Chief Tom LaBelle (Prince William County [VA] Fire & Rescue), Chief Tony Perez (Pasco County [FL] Fire Rescue), and Lieutenant Hector Lopez, Deputy Chief Tom May, and Captain Ed Tracey (Rochester Fire Department). Pre-registration is encouraged!
 
 
   
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the remainder of the NYSAFC 2023 Seminar Series “Truck Skills Beyond the Textbooks” with Lieutenant Mike Ciampo has been canceled. The seminars in Albany, Erie, Fulton, Monroe, Oneida, Orange, Otsego, Rockland, St. Lawrence, Saratoga, Westchester, and Wyoming Counties will not be rescheduled. All pre-registrants have been notified and will be refunded. Both NYSAFC and Instructor Ciampo regret any inconvenience. Please contact the NYSAFC office with any questions.

On October 10, New York state honored 29 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty during the 2023 New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY. NYSAFC joins in paying tribute to those who have made the supreme sacrifice while serving their communities and protecting the citizens of the Empire State. A tribute video in honor of the fallen and a recording of the ceremony are available from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services.
