SEMAC Advisory on Selection and Use of Medical Equipment
SEMAC Advisory 23-A on Selection, Use, and Approval of Medical Devices has been posted to the Bureau of EMS website. It is not the easiest document to find, but here is one of the pages it lives on. This policy statement is a helpful reminder about the role of your agency medical director and the value they can bring to the EMS table.

Typical State EMS Processing Times
To be transparent, the Bureau is now posting typical and actual processing times for certification and course applications. Go to EMS Forms, then choose the "Education - Certification & CME Program" dropdown. You’ll see the chart there. This will help to explain current (and future) delays in anything certification related. Of note, if you submit CME paperwork on time (45 days or more before expiration) and do not receive a rejection, your card remains valid until such time as you either get a new one or receive a paperwork rejection from DOH.
