Chief (Ret.) Richard L. Lyman of the City of White Plains Fire Department, Westchester County, took office as president of the association on June 7 during the 119th Annual Conference & FIRE 2025 Expo Installation Ceremony held in Syracuse, NY. Lyman is a 44-year fire service veteran and served as chief from 2003-2021. He is the fifth White Plains fire chief to lead NYSAFC as president.
