NYSAFC Past President James King Honored by North Country Honor Flight

On September 3, NYSAFC Past President James King was among the 38 veterans honored by North Country Honor Flight. The veterans traveled to Washington, D.C. and visited Arlington National Cemetery, as well as the Air Force, Marine Corps, Korean War Veterans, Vietnam Veterans, and World War II Memorials.

King served with the U.S. Army, assigned to the 7th Infantry Division, Combat Engineers, and is a veteran of the Vietnam War (1964-1966). Jim was escorted on the flight by his son-in-law, Joey Rice, and was honored by many local fire departments and dignitaries before departure. He served as president of NYSAFC from 2003-2004 and is a past chief of the Keeseville Fire Department and past Clinton County fire coordinator and emergency services director.
