Congratulations to the Massachusetts Dental Society for winning the NE/SAE Organization of the Year Award

NE/SAE’s Organizational Award recognizes the innovation and accomplishments of professional societies and trade associations in New England and celebrates the positive impact they have on their members and the industries they serve.

This year’s winner is the Massachusetts Dental Society for spearheading a “Yes on 2” initiative during the 2022 election. Typically, association legislative strategy focuses on the legislative process and lobbying. This strategy of this unique effort was not focused on convincing a handful of key lawmakers but on convincing the millions of potential voters in Massachusetts. Again, instead of leveraging members to contact legislators, we engaged members to communicate directly with patients they see every day. MDS was the first state dental association to significantly support a statewide ballot measure.
