MassMutual Center: Implementing Safety with Technology in an Ever-Changing Meetings Environment

As in-person events continue to move forward and increase in size, ensuring the safety and security of the conventions, meetings and events hosted at the MassMutual Center is one of our top priorities. We safely hosted over 30,000 attendees from April to December 2021, and we expect that to grow considerably in 2022. As part of our continue efforts and focus on safety, we are excited to announce the implementation of Evolv Express, a new state-of-the-art scanning system, at the main entrance of the MassMutual Center.
We are committed to delivering excellent customer service and this investing in new technology will greatly improve how attendees and visitors access our facility by making security screening more efficient and less intrusive for all.
About Evlov
Evolv Express® scans for anomalies and, upon detection, a second, separate security check is performed by security personnel. It is a reliable and convenient option to move large groups of guests quickly and safely into event without having to wait in lie or take off their bag. One Evolv unit and two staff can scan 1,000-1,500 people per hour and is seamlessly integrated into our existing security protocols.
This new technology has already been installed at both the Hynes Convention Center and BCEC in Boston since September and has also been installed at Walt Disney World, Hersheypark, and Six Flags Amusement Parks.
