From now through October 31, NENA is accepting session proposals for the NENA 2025 Conference & Expo taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA from June 21-26. Presenting a session at NENA 2025 allows you to share your knowledge and experience with an audience of 9-1-1 professionals eager to gain and share information. It is also your chance to give back to the profession and help inspire, inform, and educate attendees on important issues. All session submissions will be reviewed and scored by content experts using the following criteria:

This scholarship honors the mission of 9-1-1 policy and regulatory development, women’s empowerment within 9-1-1, and Wendy’s valuable contributions to the policy and regulatory aspects of public safety programs across the country. This scholarship opportunity is open to women in the 9-1-1 industry who have not previously attended 9-1-1 Goes to Washington. The scholarship recipient will receive the following:

Through its leadership, the board ensures that the needs of the association and its members are being met today and that NENA is well-positioned for the future. As a board member, you will fulfill essential responsibilities outlined in NENA’s bylaws, help guide NENA’s strategic vision, and ensure the association continues to provide the highest level of support and service to its members. Publishing errors have recently been detected in the yaml associated with NENA's Standard for the Conveyance of Emergency Incident Data Objects (EIDOs) between Next Generation (NG9-1-1) Systems and Applications. Corrections will be made to the NG9-1-1 Logging Service yaml stored here. A complete list of changes may be found in the "Reason for Issue/Reissue" table in the front of the document. If there are questions, please contact the EIDO Conveyance WG Co-Chairs.
![]() Having adjudicated all comments, the NENA Security for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-SEC) Standard is now considered "stable." Per NENA IPR & Antitrust Policy, Section 4.5.1 "Stable Form Notice" is being issued. Click here to view it.
![]() NENA seeks volunteers to support the update of the NENA Next Generation 9-1-1 Security (NG-SEC) Audit Checklist. The Security Audit Checklist WG will update the current audit checklist to meet the requirements specified in the anticipated NENA Security for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-SEC) Standard. Additionally, the group will explore integrating a cross reference guide to other security standards common to PSAPs. The working group seeks operational and technical subject matter experts.
