Input Sought on NG9-1-1 Industry Collaboration Event Testing

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

NENA’s NG9-1-1 Industry Collaboration Event (ICE) Program provides members of the public-safety industry partner community with an opportunity to test implementations of NG9-1-1 standards in an open, collaborative, and neutral environment. Overseen by the ICE Steering Committee (ICE SC), industry partners build interoperability test cases based on existing and evolving standards and then test their products (production or prototype) against each other's products.

Participation helps industry partners increase their confidence level that their implementations will be built on a common understanding of the standards and consistent with their peers. By extension, ICE supports PSAP and 9-1-1 Authority ability to choose and implement products they know can meet the goal of an interoperable standards-based emergency response.

To ensure that testing meets the needs of both the Industry Partner and 9-1-1 communities, the ICE SC is seeking your input on the type of tests that should be considered for future events.
