NENA Board Update: Northeastern Director Mark Fletcher Steps Down | Applicants Sought to Fill Vacancy

On October 30, Northeastern Director Mark Fletcher, ENP announced his resignation from the NENA Board of Directors.
"We are grateful for Mark’s many of years of service to both the association and the 9-1-1 community," said NENA President Lee Ann Magoski, ENP.
Due to this vacancy, applications are now being accepted for the Northeastern Region Director seat on the Board. The appointee will serve as Northeastern Director for the remainder of the current two-year term, through June 2027.
The board leads the organization’s more than 24,000 members in advancing NENA’s mission to improve 9-1-1 through research, standards development, training, education, outreach, and advocacy. Through its leadership, the board ensures that the needs of the association and its members are being met today and that NENA is well-positioned for the future.
Each applicant for Northeastern Director, at the time of their nomination and throughout their term(s) of service, must:
- Maintain membership, in good standing, in the Association;
- Maintain certification as an Emergency Number Professional in accordance with the prevailing requirements for that certification;
- Discharge, with all due diligence, the duties attendant upon the position they hold;
- Comply with all Association policies pertaining to activities of the Association in which they participate; and
- Reside within the Northeastern Region.
Applications are due by Tuesday, November 18 at 5PM Eastern.
