NENA Seeks Volunteers for the Transition to i3 PSAP Working Group

NENA seeks volunteers for the Transition to i3 PSAP Working Group to shepherd the draft standard through the document review process. The working group is developing a standard specifying how an agency transitions to fully i3-compliant applications without a forklift upgrade of all applications. The standard will specify how specific applications will need to support both legacy and i3 interfaces to permit continued operations during the transition process. In scope are the following applications: Call Handling Systems, Computer Aided Dispatch and Logging Recorder. The deliverable is intended to be an ANSI-approved standard.
Specifically, the working group seeks to add members in the Producer and General Interest categories, although all interested parties are welcome to join. A Producer is a developer or provider of 9-1-1 related products or services and a General Interest member is a member who does not fit into User or Producer categories, such as consultants or those who are part of state or federal agencies.
