Standard for the Conveyance of EIDOs Between NG9-1-1 Systems Now Available

The ANSI-approved NENA Standard for the Conveyance of Emergency Incident Data Objects (EIDOs) between Next Generation (NG9-1-1) Systems and Applications defines the specifications and other information needed for application developers to build interfaces to send and receive EIDOs from their applications to other vendor applications, enabling data exchange interoperability between i3-compliant PSAPs and their associated response agencies and other entities. The standard describes a transport model for the secure, verified, and reliable delivery of EIDOs, both during the processing of emergency calls and thereafter.
