Volunteer by Friday to Serve on the NENA Institute Board

The NENA Institute Board (NIB) – the body that oversees the Emergency Number Professional (ENP) Certification Program – seeks nominees to fill two vacancies on the board.  One seat is to serve as North Central Region delegate, while the other is to serve as an At-Large delegate.  The North Central Delegate position is for two years and the At-Large Delegate position may be for one or two years, depending on which of two At-Large positions become open.

Regional delegates represent the NENA membership and participate in the ENP examination review, but also have some responsibilities that focus on chapters within their respective regions.  At-Large delegates represent the NENA membership, help disseminate Institute and program information, and are involved in the ENP examination review.  Regional and At-Large delegates are expected to attend the NENA Annual Conference, a two-day NIB meeting each year (recently held in conjunction with NENA’s SBP Conference), and monthly conference calls.

Applicants must have a firm knowledge of 9-1-1 technology, management, and operations, with a good grasp of how 9-1-1 will change in the future. To be considered for the position, you must also be a current ENP and a NENA member.

Expressions of interest, along with a resume and/or bio, should be sent to Nominating Committee Chair, Nick LaMontia, by March 31.
