The Office of EMS and the National 911 Program—housed within the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at the U.S. DOT—encourage 9-1-1 and EMS professionals to provide public-safety feedback about its annual Highway Safety Grant Program.

NHTSA seeks feedback on how to reduce disparities, increase community participation and implement NRSS in its formula grant program. The grant program awards more than $630 million annually in Section 402 State and Community, Section 405 National Priority Safety Programs, and Section 1906 Racial Profiling Data Collection grants to the states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories and the Bureau of Indian Affairs to carry out highway safety programs within their jurisdictions.
