As the COVID-19 novel coronoavirus outbreak grows, it's essential to keep up with the latest. On February 24 NHTSA's Office of EMS provided an overview of current knowledge and efforts as part of its EMS Focus webinar series. Joining OEMS Director Jon Krohmer, MD, were Capt. Lisa Delaney, MS, associate director for emergency preparedness and response for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and Jonathan Greene, deputy assistant secretary and director of emergency management and medical operations for HHS' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). They outlined what we know about the outbreak, its impact, and what to expect moving forward.
