Association News
Savannah joined the NAWIC office in July of 2022 and started as an administrative assistant before being promoted to events and engagement coordinator in September of 2023. She is responsible for scheduling and managing webinar and committee meetings and hosting these meetings and recently she has been helping regional directors with spring and fall conference planning. Savannah is also the main contact for the annual conference and WIC Week sponsors and ensures that they receive all their benefits. Her favorite part about working for NAWIC is learning about different parts of the industry as someone who originally had little knowledge of it.

As we flip from 2023 to 2024, it’s hard not to think about the recent well wishes during the holiday season.  This is not about resolutions or plotting out major goals for the year ahead.  This is an opportunity to be a little reflective, honest, and prospective.  We like to wish others a coming year of good health, prosperity, happiness, and success.  All very positive and aspirational.  But they certainly don’t fit the SMART goal model of being specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound.

Let's talk about the power of learning with a group that truly understands you.

The NAWIC Leadership Academy isn't just any program; it's designed by women in construction, specifically for women in construction.

Imagine the benefit of sharing experiences, challenges, and victories with a group of like-minded, ambitious women who truly get where you're coming from. Together, we'll uplift each other, learn from one another, and pave the way for a stronger, more influential presence in the industry.

Ready to make your mark with us? Next cohort starts January 15!

Sign up now and let's lead the way, together.

From established technology, such as drones and laser scanning, to emerging Research & Development like autonomous layout and asset tracking, Val Lang and Harrison Haigler of Brasfield & Gorrie explore integration with BIM, underscoring the Virtual Design and Construction group's growth and critical role in advancing accuracy, efficiency, and project visualization in modern construction practices.

NAWIC Benefits Spotlight
The SRC Summit has extended a special invitation to NAWIC members. We wanted to send you an invite to this annual conference started back in 2013 by April Hall.  Her goal has been to bring more women in the roofing & construction industry together for learning, networking and to support one another.

Investing in the right HR technology solutions can automate the most time-consuming tasks. Because tasks are automated, there is little to no room for human error, the work is not only faster but more accurate.

In today's rapidly evolving job market, the call for gender diversity and inclusivity has never been more pertinent. The traditionally male-dominated fields of skilled trades are no exception.
For most young people, a bond or even a conversation with someone who believes in them can make a tremendous difference in their lives, exposing them to new goals, new ideas, and new ways of doing things.
