Happy New Year! I hope you have all enjoyed the first month and a half of 2023.

NAPFA’s 40th Anniversary

This is an exciting year for NAPFA; in addition to a new CEO settling in soon, it is also the 40th anniversary of the association.

NAPFA has various plans to celebrate this milestone in 2023—and we would love for you to be involved! We want to hear from members like you about your favorite NAPFA memory. Please consider submitting a testimonial on the 40th anniversary webpage.

The webpage also hosts a visual timeline detailing the impressive accomplishments of NAPFA over its four decades. I invite you to reflect on the difference you have made as a NAPFA member. These achievements would not be possible without your support and dedication to the profession—thank you!

2023 Conferences

If you haven’t joined us for a national conference (or maybe you already have the dates marked on your calendar!), I hope you will join us in San Diego and Louisville, KY, this year.

The NAPFA Spring 2023 Conference will take place May 10–13, at the beautiful Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Registration is now open, and scholarships are available.

Our NAPFA Fall 2023 Conference will take place Oct. 18–21, at the Omni Louisville Hotel. Be sure to join us for endless learning, connecting, and celebrating! We will continue our 40th anniversary celebration at this conference.

My Time at NAPFA

While my time at NAPFA may be limited, I am grateful to have met and worked with some of you over the past few months. I have enjoyed learning about NAPFA, its membership, and the Fee-Only profession.

What impressed me most about NAPFA was the genuine care that the members have for doing what is right. There seems to be a high ethical interest that permeates the organization. Having worked at other larger and older associations in the past, I was excited by what NAPFA has accomplished, given its relatively young age.

I look forward to seeing NAPFA continue to thrive in the coming years, and I wish you all a wonderful year of celebrating NAPFA!
