The NAPFA Advisor is looking for additional members to submit one or two articles annually to its “Practical Observations” column for 2023 (see “My love letter to voicemail” for an example). It’s a great opportunity if you feel strongly about issues that can help your colleagues to run their practices more efficiently and effectively. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert writer, the magazine’s editorial staff will provide helpful feedback.

Catch up with NAPFA’s third Marketing Playbook Trilogy class

“Using Custom Content as an Inbound Marketing ‘Pull Strategy,’” the third three-session master class in NAPFA’s 2022 Marketing Playbook Trilogy, continues on Sept. 28 with a session on “The HOW,” which will cover “how to create audio, video, blogs, news releases, and other engaging ungated content to attract attention and feed email and social media campaigns.” The final session will occur on Nov. 2. Classes will be presented live and recorded. Register now. Classes are free for NAPFA members.

NAPFA CEO Geof Brown on his pending departure

“The organization is in great hands from a volunteer perspective. Everyone should feel good about the direction that we’re headed. … I have full faith in the board that they’ll be good stewards of the process,” said NAPFA CEO Geof Brown in Financial Planning about his leaving NAPFA on Nov. 15. On WealthManagement.com, Brown said, “I just feel really good about where the organization is, We've grown in membership. The board just adopted a new three-year strategic framework that’ll get underway on Sept. 1. We've got a great team and all the conditions are right.”

NAPFA’s new strategic framework

NAPFA has adopted a new strategic framework for 2022-2025 to guide the organization’s decisions and outcomes. The framework focuses on three important strategic drivers which are embedded into NAPFA’s operational priorities: Advocacy; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; and Professional Excellence.
