On the heels of Verizon's recent purchase of Fleetmatics, AT&T announced that it will be launching it's own telematics system for commercial fleets. AT&T Fleet Complete is a GPS-based solution that will help fleet managers to keep track of vehicles, drivers, and more. The software will be offered through the cellphone carrier's Partner Exchange agreement with Toronto-based telematics vendor Fleet Complete.

AT&T Fleet Complete is a one-stop, prepackaged solution that offers fleet professionals five different tracking options for their fleet. These selections include:
  • Fleet Tracking, which provides real-time diagnostic data to help fleet managers reduce fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs
  • Asset Tracking,  which manages high-value assets and features a rechargeable battery
  • Hours of Service, which automates a driver's log book
  • Dispatch, which helps to track and manage mobile workers and can be used with AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk for improved communication with the dispatcher
  • Resource Tracking, which helps to keep track of a company's workforce through the use of a cloud-based app
AT&T Fleet Complete is not the only resource available to fleet managers. The carrier also offers it's AT&T Fleet Manager software to government fleets through a partnership with Toronto-based BSM Technologies and their Webtech Wireless Unit.
