For the fourth consecutive year, NAFA's Ontario Chapter with the support of its members and sponsors held a charity golf tournament with all proceeds going to Toronto’s SickKids Hospital Foundation. As usual, this event quickly sold out and 148 participants were able to enjoy a great day of networking, good food, and an relaxing time on the golf course.

This special event was held at the Copper Creek Golf Course in Kleinberg, Ontario on May 26, 2016.

The chapter was also fortunate, and also very excited, to have their guest emcee, Mr. Bryan Muir return for this year's event. Muir reached fame as a former NHL defenseman, playing in 279 games for such teams as the Edmonton Oilers, the New Jersey Devils, the Chicago Blackhawks, and most recently the Washington Capitals. Muir was also a member of the Colorado Avalanche 2001 Stanley Cup championship team.

A fun time was had by all in attendance, but the real winners on the day were the children from the SickKids Foundation. Although the chapter is still finalizing the numbers, it is anticipated that this year’s donation will be in excess of $20,000!

Special thanks to Jeff Meggitt, CAFM ®, Ontario Chapter Chair, for the material in this article.
