The first JUST NETWORKING event of the term was held virtually on November 1, 2022. It was wonderful to re-connect with our members and see their faces.
 
On November 18, MPI Toronto’s Professional Development and Just Networking Committee volunteers put on a collaborative event for members and guests alike – the first of the term! Attendees were treated to a lively and educational panel discussion, and an opportunity to connect afterward.

ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Manager, Events is an integral part of the Global Sales & Services team, with direct responsibility for the execution of our event strategy at Destination Toronto, including but not limited to, the Edge Event Series, Business Outlook Forum, the Annual General Meeting, Client Advisory Board, Toronto Inc activations and our in-market sales engagement, as well as serves as the Global Sales & Services Sustainability Lead. The Senior Manager, Events provides essential support to the Director, Destination Services as an integral part of the team responsible for the planning of internal and external events such as sites, fam programming and hosting industry events in the destination, ensuring they positively impact the conversion of prospects to confirmed clients, and the retention of existing clients as well as representing Destination Toronto with the highest level of expectation.
 
ROLE SUMMARY The Destination Services Manager, is an integral part of the Global Sales & Services team, responsible for ensuring all aspects of the departmental Work Plan are accomplished to the highest standards and makes an ongoing deliberate contribution to achieving key performance measures for Destination Services and the overall Global Sales & Services business unit. The Destination Services Manager delivers to the highest service standards and contributes to the planning, development and delivery of an effective destination services program to ensure; highly coveted Citywide and Specialty accounts achieve their success metrics while meeting in Toronto, community stakeholder’s benefit from high levels of repeat bookings, positive client testimonials and business development events such as planning sites in the destination, positively impact the retention of existing clients.
