MPI Southern California Chapter

Events
MPISCC gathered at the beautiful Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club on July 14th for the chapter’s 2021 Board Installation and Awards. The attire was “Malibu Chic,” DJ Ivy was spinning, bubbles were pouring, attendees were snapping photos at the Oh Snaptastic! Photobooth - and just like that, the chapter was back together again for the first chapter event since the pandemic.

Certainly some folks felt like they had to get back into their groove if this was their first large gathering since COVID, but the group couldn’t have been more welcoming and respectful. The space was also perfect for transitioning back to in-person since it was completely indoor-outdoor – Malibu at its finest.

Educate

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, people are becoming increasingly eager to attend and host live events. Unfortunately, COVID-19 remains a threat, as cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are increasing throughout the country. With a large portion of the country still unvaccinated and more transmissible mutations of the virus, like the Delta variant appearing, COVID-19 testing remains as vital as ever.

Why Should Everyone Test?

The reason why events increase the risk of transmitting COVID-19 is simple. The more people a person comes into contact with, the more likely they will be exposed to the virus.

Large gatherings, especially those with ten people or more, bring together people from different geographical areas and social communities. It also exposes them to each other for an extended period of time, providing a greater opportunity for the virus to spread.

The heart of Hoilistic Bodywork - provide tools to help reduce stress in life’s daily moments.

Hi, my name is Chanelle Anderson and I have been studying natural wellness solutions for over 20 years.  As a former Collegiate athlete and sufferer of an autoimmune disease and weight issues, I saw first hand a body buried under stress. Yet, when I began to incorporate a plant-based lifestyle, my body and symptoms responded in a positive way. My life was forever changed!

The first step is to have a plan in place that allows attendees to inform your organization. The next step is to report it to other attendees and possibly public health officials.
