Oh, and did I mention this was all for a good cause? That’s right! While mingling, dancing, and testing out our trivia skills, we managed to raise more than $500 for MPISCC members who’ve been furloughed during the pandemic. Talk about great fun for a worthy cause!

More on the event + what I loved about it:

The event started with an energetic introduction, followed by an introductory breakout session. The breakout gave everyone an opportunity to meet their team members for the evening and come up with a cool group name. After intros, we met back with the host to hear about the first game, “Where in the World?” They shared close-up images of venues around California and the U.S. and we had to guess the venue – super fun!! The cycle repeated for all five games. They’d tell us what we had to do, and we’d break out into our groups to come up with the answers. We’d always meet back after five-or-so minutes to go through the right answers and highlight which team was in the lead!

Other games included a mock “Price is Right,” “Friendly Feud” (instead of the classic Family Feud) and a fun scavenger hunt.

Throughout the evening, MPISCC randomly selected several raffle prize winners, which added to the excitement. It was very engaging and some of the prizes were really great! All attendees were automatically entered into the raffle during registration, so throughout the night many of us won gifts from sponsored partners.

Sponsors included a mixed group of companies, hotels, and activities – like Go Team Events, Palace Station Hotel and Casinos, Hotel Bel-Air, BMW Performance Driving School, and Mixology Mixers, among many others.

We all had a fantastic time laughing over tough questions and raising money for our fellow event profs. MPISCC exceeded our expectations with this one! Big thank you for putting on such a great virtual event!
