Last Wednesday, Oct. 27, MPIGNY hosted "Keeping It Real with MPIGNY," another highly informative education session led by an outstanding cast of industry experts.
Our moderator, Bernard Toliver, Renaissance Meetings & Special Events, was joined by:
- Jeania Davis, director of meetings & events, National Alliance to End Homelessness
- Cathy Diem, director of sales, Hilton Worldwide
- Carrie Holmes, director, conferences & meetings, The Association of Junior Leagues Intl
- Molly Kievit, senior director of campus sales, Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Association
- George Ntim, market director of diplomatic & community relations, NYC Marriott Hotels, and chairman of the board, NYSHTA
- Gary Pagano, vice president-special events, ViacomCBS
It was a great evening of education! The panelists shared their real-life experiences about how they dealt with ever-changing COVID protocols, supply chain challenges and negotiating new contracts. The conversation was engaging and the “food for thought” abundant, with so many great takeaways for moving events forward.
The overarching takeaway? There is no playbook for everything we will deal with, but one thing we can be certain of: Building relationships and trust will be the key to helping us move forward together.
