Summer is in full swing, and so is our continued momentum as we build connections and push the meetings and events industry forward. A Vibrant Future for MPIGNY: Engaged, Diverse, and Leading the Way At the heart of this vision is a focus on sustained membership growth – not just in numbers, but in the diversity of our community. We aim to foster an environment where all voices are heard, and our membership reflects the rich tapestry of the New York events landscape. This includes a dedicated push for more active volunteers, recognizing that the true strength and vibrancy of our chapter comes from the collective contributions of our members. To unlock the full value of MPIGNY, we need to see our members more deeply involved across all our offerings. This means an increased presence and participation in critical areas like Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Leadership Development, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. These aren't just buzzwords; they are the pillars upon which a modern, ethical, and successful events industry is built. The only way to truly experience the immense value of our New York chapter is to engage with and participate in everything we offer. Crucially, our future depends on actively tapping into our emerging leaders within the industry. These individuals are the future of our profession, and if we don't provide them with the necessary support, engagement, and inspiration today, our long-term trajectory as an organization will be uncertain. We must create clear pathways for their growth, mentorship opportunities, and platforms for them to shine and contribute their fresh perspectives. Ultimately, the future of MPIGNY is about building a community where every member feels supported, inspired, and empowered to not only advance their own careers but also to shape the future of the events industry in New York and beyond. By focusing on growth, diversity, active participation, and nurturing our emerging talent, we will ensure MPIGNY remains a leading force for years to come. My vision for the future of MPIGNY is one of a thriving, dynamic, and truly interconnected community that sets the standard for professional associations in the events industry. We will build upon our strong foundation to create an even more impactful and rewarding experience for every member.

 We’re proud to share that this year’s MPIGNY Golf Outing will include a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity benefiting the Riverdale Avenue Community School (RACS), located in Brownsville, Brooklyn. This school serves students from 3K through 5th grade, with 2 classes per grade and two inclusive bridge classes—a total of 18 classes and approximately 306 students. As part of our initiative, we’ll be filling backpacks with essential school supplies to help students start the new school year prepared and confident. You can support this effort by purchasing school items from the MPIGNY Amazon WishList by Friday, July 11th.
