As we step into July, we reflect on a season of celebration, inspiration, and the incredible power of gathering—something our industry knows best. Summer is in full swing, and so is our continued momentum as we build connections and push the meetings and events industry forward.
A Look Back at MPI’s World Education Congress (WEC)
Last month, members from around the globe gathered in Louisville, Kentucky for MPI’s 2025 World Education Congress (WEC)—a vibrant celebration of innovation, professional growth, and community. With cutting-edge education sessions, powerful keynotes, and opportunities to connect across industries, WEC showcased the best of what our profession offers. We’re so proud of our chapter members who attended, contributed, and returned with fresh energy and insights. If you weren’t able to attend this year, we hope to see you at WEC 2026 in San Antonio!

2025 MPI GNY Kalahari Golf Outing
Date: Thursday, July 24, 2025
Time: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Location: New York Country Club, Spring Valley, NY
We are excited to once again host the MPI Greater New York Kalahari Resorts Golf Outing. This will be the 34th year of this annual tradition, and we are geared up to bring you the best one yet! We are excited to return to New York Country Club in Spring Valley, NY for a second year.
Annual Industry Softball Game - August
Each summer we meet up in central park for a friendly game of softball followed by a celebration at a nearby bar. Whether you are athletic or not, we'd love to have you out there to play or cheer us on and show your MPIGNY spirit. Positive motivation, exercise, fresh air, community building and some healthy competition goes along way to shed the workweek stress. I hope to see you on the field, or the sidelines, this August.
Giving Back
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of our chapter's operating pillars, and we give back throughout the year by partnering with several worthwhile organizations such as God's Love We Deliver, City Harvest, New York Cares and Cycle for Survival.
In addition, we select a local primary school to adopt each year at our annual Golf Outing. We hope that you will donate the price of a coffee or lunch out and purchase a few school supplies from our Amazon Wish Page. Even better, attend our event and help stuff the backpacks with these much needed tools. Let's ensure today's children succeed and perhaps even shape a future event industry leader.
