“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” - Benjamin Franklin

I am the Convention Sales Manager for Destination DC, Washington, D.C.’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, and I help Northeast based meeting planners bring their programs down to the Nation’s Capital.
Similar to most of our industry colleagues, I am really excited about travel. I absolutely love getting to experience a different culture and place around the world. I also enjoy getting to share my experience with new people when travelling. It always excites me when I have a new trip or adventure coming up. Additionally, I really enjoy rock climbing, so if anyone ever wants to meet up at VITAL in Williamsburg, I am absolutely down!

I have been with the Greater New York Chapter for 7 years now. Times has flown by. MPIGNY has introduced me to some of my best friends in the world and has absolutely turned industry colleagues into true friends. It makes doing what we do even better. Professionally, it is the best possible way I could have gotten my name out there and interacted with so many people in our community.

As PE, one of my goals and responsibilities for the chapter is maintaining our welcoming community. In the distant past, our chapter had a reputation of social cliques or the board members being “too cool” to approach. I want to walk into any MPIGNY event and help facilitate connections and relationships. Our community is so welcoming and interesting, and we all have amazing things to learn and share with each other.

I want to help our chapter relationships flourish. We are all here to connect, so I want to ensure that members are getting to meet with each other and learn about one another. A base connection helps. Please think of your MPIGNY Board Members as connectors – use us to maximize your network and meet your professional goals.
