We are excited to share that Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) will be held this year on Thursday, March 30, 2023. GMID is an international day of advocacy that promotes the value of meetings, conferences and more, and the 2023 theme is “People Coming Together Matters.”
Why do meetings matter? As event professionals know, in-person meetings and events have many economic benefits – in 2022, the segment accounted for 38% of all business travel spending. They also create jobs – a whopping half a million in the US. These meetings facilitate education and connection and advance important fields.
Face-to-face meetings are decidedly different from virtual. They foster connections in a way that can’t be matched in a virtual format. One interesting stat: More than 8 in 10 executives prefer in-person meetings to virtual contact; 2023 is the perfect fresh start to get excited and meet that demand.
Join us for a lively, informative and engaging session where Guest Speaker Ginger Johnson will discuss the Power of Connection and how the "new normal" of remote work doesn't have to mean disconnection.
