You probably use various systems for billing, scheduling and inventory. You likely handle information electronically or store them in a filing cabinet, and that means this data could be at risk – even if printed on paper. If any of your devices or documents are lost or stolen, or if your computer network is breached leading to stolen or ransomed data, business interruption or systems corruption, the consequences can be more severe than you may think.

Dear Wayne,

My company has been experiencing delays in payment as a result of disagreements. This has tied up cash flow, slowed projects and has made it increasingly difficult to ensure my employees are paid. Have you heard if prompt payment requirements similar to those seen in other Canadian provinces will be implemented in Manitoba?

Signed,
Frustrated
