Q: How do I make my grease interceptor more efficient?

A:

  • Grease interceptors work best on grease – not solids. Keeping solids out maximizes effectiveness!
  • GIs are designed to handle F.O.G. and are tested using only lard – not food solids, contaminates, or other forms of F.O.G. that could be found in their actual application.

  • The more solids that enter the tank, the less effective the GI will be at separating grease. Installing both a Solids and Grease interceptor provides a full solution and can still be done if you already have one or the other.

 * F.O.G.= Fats, Oils and Grease
