ASHE’s Energy to Care Program is a confidential and complimentary energy reduction program that helps health care facilities track, manage and communicate energy savings. The Energy to Care dashboard developed by ASHE has been updated to for a better user experience and easier to use. The free, online tool will help you benchmark your facilities’ energy usage and spend. Tracking the data can help build road maps for energy reduction. ASHE offers free tools to help you on this journey as well.  By participating in the Energy to Care Program, your facility is eligible for national recognition. The Energy to Care Award honors health care facilities that reduce energy consumption by 10% in a single year or 15% over two years. The program also recognizes previous award winners that reduce energy consumption by 5% in a single year. In addition, KSHE has a local chapter challenge known as the Energy Derby that uses the same data to award energy reduction successes.
