President's Message
By Joe Taylor
Best wishes from Owensboro and the “NEW NORMAL.” I’m hoping our new normal does not include having to wear PPE every time I step out of my office, but today that’s the case for the Facilities Team here. Not only are all of us at work, dealing with issues we only thought about when we watched scary movies on Netflix, but we are interacting with others from six (6) feet away and speaking through a surgical or cloth mask. I’m hoping all of you and your families are well and safe. We are used to looking at data and making good decisions. Let me encourage you all to “stick with it” and not to cave in to pressure to disengage too early. Also, please be aware of the people around you and their emotional well-being. Our staff is counting on us to lead, and you all are making it happen.

Greetings KSHE Members,
Are we there yet? Where is there? Many of us are talking frequently about the “new normal.” What is it, and what does it look like? No doubt it will emerge over the next many months from the COVID-19 scare we have been engaged in these days. I hope many of you have been able to take advantage of the Weekly KSHE COVID Briefs that have taken place every Thursday at 12:30 E.T. Your KSHE President, Joe Taylor, suggested we start these back in March. I was amazed and appreciative of the core team that we have been able to pull together:
