The NACAS National Office will be closed Friday, December 23, 2016 until Monday, January 2, 2017 to observe the winter holidays. Regular office hours will be resumed on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
 
 
 
Charlottesville, VA (November 30, 2016) – NACAS, the largest auxiliary and ancillary services support organization serving higher education, installed Diane Reynolds, CASP, assistant vice president for business services at Virginia Commonwealth University, as President, and added three new directors to its board at the 2017 NACAS Annual Conference in Indianapolis, IN.
 
Funded by the NACAS Education Foundation, this scholarship is intended to promote the advancement of diverse, career-minded higher education professionals and to enhance their auxiliary services skill and knowledge base through NACAS professional development programs. The winner will receive $750 to be used toward any NACAS event and will be featured in the NACAS magazine, College Services. The 2017 application deadline is February 28, 2017.
 
As we prepare to enjoy the holidays, and anticipate a much-needed winter break, the NACAS Education Foundation wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your contributions to our industry. As auxiliary services professionals, we see our work come alive each day on our campuses. NACAS, our professional association, helps us translate and share our work with each other, and with the countless students we serve each day.

April 21-23, 2017: The NACAS Institute for Managers (IFM) is designed for managers new to generalist auxiliary service positions, and for operational managers seeking a broader perspective on auxiliary services in higher education. IFM is an intensive learning experience incorporating small group seminars, operational knowledge opportunities, case study work, and group presentations. Hosted in New Orleans prior to the NACAS South Regional Conference, in partnership with FedEx Office and Tulane University, attending IFM is a great opportunity to gain valuable leadership and management skills before discussing industry trends and networking with your peers at the regional conference. July 19-21, 2017: The NACAS Senior Executive Institute (SEI) is designed for highly experienced auxiliary leaders who seek to optimize their performance and the performance of their team. SEI is an intensive learning experience incorporating small group seminars and group collaboration. During this time, executives will be networking with colleagues who are experiencing similar challenges and opportunities in the auxiliary services field. Or maybe you sat through an incredible educational session, only to forget to jot down the presenter's name. Regardless of the situation in which you wished you collected a peer's contact information, NACAS has your back. Certification
The Hassmiller Scholarship was generously funded by Dr. Bob Hassmiller, and this year NACAS has the funds to award several scholarships. NACAS has extended the deadline to December 15, and the individual will need to sit for CASP within one year of their scholarship application date. This is a great opportunity for those individuals whose institutions cannot fund the application fee. Approved applicants will receive $325 to cover the cost of the application fee. Only those with active CASP applications will be considered.
