Read More... Together, the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) and NRPA are bringing boating and fishing resources to local communities. The "Take Me Fishing" initiative supports local park and recreation agencies and youth service organizations that reconnect kids with nature and engage children ages 6-15 in recreational boating, fishing, aquatic education and environmental conservation. To date, more than 200,000 kids from around the U.S. have participated in recreational boating and fishing through an RBFF grant.

The Illinois Park and Recreation Association membership is a collection of top past, current and future leaders of the park and recreation profession. Over the past 18 months, our board of directors has done a fantastic job of soliciting and synthesizing information collected from the membership through the Efficiency Task Force, Membership Survey Task Force and Strategic Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC).
As I reflect on the last several years of my involvement with the IPRA Board of Directors, I realize we have been through some change together. Some has been easy and some has been, and continues to be, very difficult.
